I was really pleased with this test. The results were good and felt more helpful than other dog DNA tests I’ve tried. The app was a little slow at times, but overall I had a positive experience and was excited to learn more about my dog

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but the swab actually felt really sturdy... not flimsy at all. It was easy to use, and my dog didn’t seem to mind it much, which was a nice surprise.

I originally got Embark because I wanted to know more about my dog’s breed mix, but the relative matches ended up being my favorite part. I found a few dogs that look so much like mine, and I even messaged one of the owners. It was really fun and kind of sweet seeing those family connections. I would say it was worth it for me.

I got the kit for my rescue dog and, it was easy to use. The results came back quicker than I expected and everything was easy to understand. I’m really glad I did it.

I got Embark mostly out of curiosity, and it ended up being way more interesting than I expected. It showed a few breeds I never would’ve guessed, but once I thought about my dog’s looks and personality, some of it made total sense. The family tree was really fun to click through, and my kids got a kick out of it too.

I got my dog’s Embark report and was surprised by how easy it was to read. Everything was broken down in a way that actually made sense, even the health info, which I thought would be confusing. Fair warning though: don’t just skim it, especially the health section. There’s useful stuff in there that’s worth paying attention to. Overall, I found it really helpful.

The kit looked straightforward at first, but actually getting the swab done was a pain. My dog kept squirming, and I felt kind of trapped trying to hold him still, follow the directions, and not mess it up. The drying time also wasn’t super clear, so I kept second-guessing myself. It wasn’t awful, but it definitely wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be.

I’d seen other dog owners mention how helpful it was to share results digitally, they were right. I was able to send my dog’s results straight to our vet without having to print anything out. She looked over the health info before his appointment, so when we got there, everything felt way smoother and more prepared

I was a little hesitant about sending in a DNA kit for my dog, because obviously you want to know what’s happening with that kind of info. Embark made their privacy details easy to find and understand, which I appreciated. It didn’t feel like anything was being hidden, and there were sensible options for managing my account and data. That was enough to make me feel comfortable using it without overthinking the whole thing.

I got Embark because apparently everyone in my life had become a dog breed expert and kept insisting my dog was some kind of lab mix. The results came back showing lab, pit, and a bit of cattle dog, which, shockingly, made a lot more sense than the random guesses I’d been hearing.

The breed breakdown fit her looks and personality really well, way better than what the vet or friends had thrown out there. Even the smaller percentages didn’t seem like they were just tossed in for decoration, which was nice.
Overall, I’m happy with it. The wait took a little patience, but the results felt accurate enough that I can admit it was worth it, even if I had to hear “I told you so” from absolutely no one because they were mostly wrong.

Their support team got back to me in a couple days and explained how certain parts of the mix can show up, plus which results were more confident. The reply felt clear and not salesy or dismissive. I still had a few questions, but seeing other people mention the same kind of thing and getting a helpful response from support made me feel a lot better about it.

The test itself was really easy to do, and I did enjoy looking through the health section. It felt nice to have more background on my dog, but when I got to the genetic disease risk results, some of it was a little confusing. A few things said “increased risk,” but I wasn’t sure what that actually meant in real life or how concerned I should be.

I ended up googling a few terms and still had to ask my vet for help understanding it. So my final take is that it’s useful and worth doing if you want more insight, but I really wish the explanations were more straightforward and less vague.

I ordered the Embark kit and it shipped out quicker than I expected. The tracking was easy to follow, and it arrived exactly when it said it would—what more can you really ask for? The box was in good shape too, so no complaints at all on the shipping side.

I got this for my sister because she’s completely obsessed with dogs , and she absolutely loved it . It was such an easy , fun little pup-themed gift and it made her smile right away .

The trait results were actually spot on, which I appreciated. That said, the communication around what to expect wasn’t very clear, and that got a little annoying. Once I figured it out, the results themselves were solid
